A
Masjid in Islam
The masjid of the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and every other masjid is the focal
point of any Islamic society. It is a place where hearts are cleansed,
characters are purified, the poor and needy are seen to and Salaah
is performed in a unified voice. It is a place where good is encouraged
and where the great spiritual strength of the Muslims takes form.
It unifies the ranks of the worshippers and displays their strength
and conviction. From the masjid armies of Allah are dispatched
to spread His word to the world. The masjid is the platform from
which the preacher speaks the truth despite an audience of oppressors,
kings and tyrants. From here the light of guidance and knowledge
emanates. The likes of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Khalid, Sa'd
and Abu Ubaidah Radhi Allalahu Anhum were produced from the seat
of learning whose base was the masjid of the Prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam. |
